Talk summary | SHAPE Live 15 June
The last year has been tumultuous, impacting people and organisations. Transformation has become the norm, both for the individual and the organisation. Some of these transformations were already planned have had to speed up with 2025 vision becoming the vision of today. But a lot of this transformation has suddenly put upon us – whether that is people working from home – and continuing to want to do so /people increasingly looking for organisations to demonstrate a sense of purpose and meaning/the need to quickly adjust to an increasingly digital landscape and build the confidence and capability to navigate technology/an increasing emphasis on individuals being the curators of their own career and development journeys. To thrive in this rapidly changing and uncertain world of work, will require particular skills and behaviours in addition to those that have helped us operate to date. The concept of the growth mindset has become a reality. Yet, although organisations may highlight particular attributes they may see less of in the young. From a reverse mentoring perspective, it maybe they have some lessons they can learn from them.
